Doctor Manuela Escobar reveals the power of five herbal teas: "Regulate blood sugar, lower inflammation, and lower blood pressure."

Nowadays, people often turn to herbal teas for their benefits, as many of them have antioxidant effects, aid digestion, reduce fluid retention, and regulate stress levels. They also improve sleep quality, according to the Kipli website.
Likewise, Manuela Escobar, a doctor specializing in clinical nutrition and hormonal health, revealed five herbal teas that are highly beneficial for improving blood circulation, reducing inflammation, and lowering blood pressure.
Although these beverages have multiple properties, they should be consumed in moderation, and people with medical prescriptions should avoid them and always seek the authorization of a health professional.
These are the five infusions that are of great benefit to health, according to doctor Manuela Escobar. The first infusion he recommended was hibiscus flower infusion; it provides various health benefits, in addition to helping prevent heart disease, regulating blood sugar levels, and promoting weight loss.
“If you're looking for a natural diuretic to help lower your blood pressure, hibiscus flower is the most recommended ,” Escobar said.
However, the specialist suggested that women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should avoid its consumption, as should those taking antihypertensive medication.
The next drink is cinnamon tea; this spice has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties that aid digestion.

“Drink cinnamon tea if you want something to help regulate your blood sugar levels ,” Escobar said.
Furthermore, the nutrition expert does not recommend its use during pregnancy, as it could stimulate uterine contractions. Likewise, people with severe liver disease or who are taking blood thinners should avoid its consumption.

Matcha tea is another of the infusions that Dr. Escobar suggested, due to its properties, as it regulates cholesterol, stimulates the mind, prevents infections, and promotes fat burning, among other benefits.
“Matcha tea helps regulate blood cholesterol levels. However, people with severe stress and anxiety, due to the high caffeine content, should consume it with caution ,” he stated.
Ginger infusion not only relieves colds, sore throats, and menstrual cramps, but many people also use it to treat nausea and vomiting.
“If you want to regulate your blood sugar levels, ginger tea is a good option ,” Escobar said.

One of the specialist's warnings is that those taking anticoagulants should refrain from taking them, as they can interact with some oral antidiabetics.
“Finally, turmeric tea helps reduce inflammation and relieves joint pain. If you want to boost the absorption of curcumin, add a fat like coconut oil and black pepper ,” she said.

One thing Escobar strongly emphasizes is that people should not consume too much of these beverages, especially those with underlying conditions or illnesses, and they should always consult their physician before consuming them.
